Koreatown Tub Enclosure and Bathroom Floor Tiling

Santa Monica Carrara White Kitchen Backsplash
In order to obtain the Carrara marble look without the Carrara marble price, the customer chose porcelain tiles from Jeffrey Court. These 4″ x 12″ tiles come with a believable grey marble veining. The grout used to finish the kitchen backsplash was Laticrete PERMACOLOR Select and the color used was Bright White. To trim the exposed tile edges, trim from Schulter was used that matched the pulls from the cabinetry. As always, the size of the space between the countertop and first row of tile was made equal to grout joint and filled with matching color Laticrete Acrylic caulk. Not grout as is often done. Finally, in order to achieve an even cleaner look, the outlet covers were replaced with Leviton Decora Screwless Wallplates .

Redondo Beach Tiled Fireplace and Hearth
Customer was looking to get a fireplace tiled using the float method. The hearth was prepared in such a way as to ensure the finished tile height was flush with the adjacent floor. To ensure a clean and smooth transition, Schluter Jolly tile trim was used in between the two surfaces. To eliminate any exposed tiled edges, Schluter Jolly was used in the firebox opening as well.

Woodland Hills Fireplace
Client had a drab wall with a fireplace that needed to be moderized. The client wanted the look of marble without the associated cost. Porcelanosa’s Marmol Carrarar Blanco was chosen to dress the wall. To ensure the exposed edges of the tile were not exposed, Scluter Trim was used to surround the firebox opening.

Glendale Front Porch
Client wanted to spruce up their front porch by tiling it. In order to stick with the Spanish style of the home, a vintage tile from Peronda was chosen. The Peronda FS STAR-N 17 3/4″ x 17 3/4″ tile was chosen. In order to ensure a lippage free tile install was achieved, the entire porch area was floated and sloped away from the house. To ensure a clean install, all exposed tiled edges were mitered and book matched. You will also find this tile under the name brand Merola and stocked at your local Home Depot. It’s called Kings Star Nero Encaustic.

La Habra Heights Bathroom
This bathroom was remodeled using Walker Zanger Bianco Bello Penny Rounds. The shower walls, bathroom floor, and area behind the toilet and entire vanity wall was tiled with this material. The installation method used was the float method. No backerboard was used anywhere. The grout used was Laticrete Permacolor Select and the thin-set used was Laticrete 253. All Walker Zanger sheets were sealed twice using Dry-Treat STAIN-PROOF Original. The shower bench, curb, and vanity top were finished using matching color Quartz from MSI.
